Oh, Toodles!!!

Caleb, Caris, and Chloe have all been into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD we have in the car. Every time we get in the car, Chloe says, “vevo…  Mouse.”  In non-toddler speak, that’s “video… Mickey Mouse.”  But since they only watch it in the car, I’ve never actually seen it, but I do hear it.  There’s this one part where Mickey says something, and Caleb & Caris will say it loudly and in unison.  “Oh Toodles!!!”

Now, I don’t know who or what Toodles is.  Caleb & Caris will pretend play and carry this small purple mirror around, and call it “Toodles.”  I saw Caris this morning pretend washing “Toodles” with a sponge.  I always pictured Toodles to be some type of animal like a dog or something, but after watching them play, I wondered what it actually is.  I asked Caris what is Toodles.

Caris:  It has 2 circles and another circle.
Me: Oh, so it’s like Mickey Mouse ears.
Caleb & Caris: Yeah.

I’ll just Google it to see what it really looks like.  Is that what the Mickey Mouse ears are called?

No!  It’s not just Mickey Mouse ears.  It’s Mickey Mouse ears on LSD!

Belize Day 5

I’m little behind posting updates.  Maybe if the wireless didn’t suck so much here, there would be more updates.  Or maybe not.

The bugs are killing me.  I’m tasty.

Yvonne: How come Caleb doesn’t have any?
Caleb: I’m not tasty.

And the bug bites are only going to get worse.

Belize Day 3

Our sleeping arrangements aren’t ideal, at least not for me and Yvonne.  We only have a 1 bedroom.  So of course the kids get the bedroom with the air conditioning.  And we’re on the couch.  At least the kids get a comfy bed.  We should go sleep outside.

Caleb, Caris and I went swimming in the new pool today.  It was about 80 degrees outside the pool.  The water inside was probably about 60 degrees.  Just a little cold.

Belize Day 1 & 2

After a long day of travel, we are in Belize now.  We flew out of Ontario at 6am.  I got about an hour of sleep.  Yvonne, not wanting to bring a bunch of school books here, stayed up all night to read and take notes on them.  The kids got woken up dark and early at 3:45. And of course they decided not to go back to sleep.  Gonna be a long day of traveling.

We have a 2 and a half hour layover in Dallas.  There’s a kids playground there to waste time at.

One two and a half hour flight down.  One 2 and a half hour flight to go.

We were lucky enough to get a whole row to ourselves on both flights.  Chloe even got her own seat.

Caleb & Caris 2nd short nap of the day.

The tired little bunch even slept through the landing.

It was a little cloudy, a little rainy, and very humid. 5pm and we’re not even at the resort yet.
