Chloe’s 2-Year Checkup

So, Chloe is definitely a third child.  It took me a month after her 2nd birthday to realize that we never took her in for her 2 year check-up with the pediatrician.  Then when I get there today, Dr. Yim tells me I forgot to bring her back after her 18-month appt to get her shots (since she was sick at that appt).  Oops.  Bad mommy.

Chloe did super well.  No crying at all with her vaccinations.

Chloe’s “25-month” stats….

Weight = 28.5 pounds

Height = 34.5 inches

Here’s a picture of our Chloe – a total spitfire who can furrow her brow all morning long just for not getting the purple plate she wanted at breakfast.  Caleb and Caris, don’t even think about taking a toy from her lest you feel her wrath.  Chloe is a cutie, though.  Good thing for her!

Chloe’s 15 month checkup

Little Chloe got out of getting shots today.  Since she’s been exposed to chickenpox, we decided it was better to wait out the incubation period before hitting her immune system with the MMR or giving her the varicella/chickenpox vaccine.

Length: 32.25 inches (90%)

Weight: 22 pounds, 5oz (40%)

9-Month Shots

Caris got her 9-month shots today.  Her thighs are sporting some Charlie Brown blue bandaids.  Caleb got his influenza booster shot.  It’s a “I’m really out of it” benadryl day for him.

OK, the 9-month stats for our baby girl…

Length – 28.5” (80%)

Weight – 18lbs, 6.5oz (45%)… and everybody tells us she looks so chubby!  Maybe it’s just an Asian thing to tell somebody their baby looks chubby.

Happy 2 Month Birthday, Caris!

Caris turned 2 months today!  And she got her first set of shots… 8 vaccines in all.  And, just like when her brother got his shots, she’s been feverish and fussy all day.  She’s been throwing up her Tylenol and breast milk.  Poor Caris.  Good thing they make rectal tylenol.  She seems to be doing much better now.

Caris’ Stats:

23” long – 75th percentile

12#, 1.5oz – 75-90th percentile

Caleb’s Growing

Caleb had his 18-month pediatrician appointment this morning.  He finally recognizes the place as the place he gets shots.  He started crying as soon as daddy brought him into the exam room.  Awh… but only 1 shot today.  Caleb is now almost 24 pounds (25%) and 33 1/2 inches tall (75-90%).  If you know this boy, he eats soooo much, but I guess all that food goes towards his running around and playing.

On another note…. As I’m sitting here with the baby monitor, I can hear a dog howling.  Stupid dog.  We have new neighbors behind our house.  They have a dog.  Don’t wake up my child, dog.  Stupid helicopters and airplanes.  We think they changed the flight pattern at El Monte airport or something, cuz a few months ago, all these planes started flying directly over our house when they’ve never done so for the last 7 years I’ve lived here.  Oh well.  Just don’t wake up our child.

Halloween, Vaccines and More

We try to keep up with posting pictures, but it takes time. You can view the latest at http://pictures.chriswong.org. If anybody has a better picture of us at the baby dedication, can you please send it our way. Thank you!

4 month immunizations

Baby Caleb had to have his 4-month vaccines yesterday. Daddy Chris had (and will continue in the future to have) the honor of holding our son for his vaccines. Caleb’s been fussy and feverish with an unhappy tummy. Poor Chris had to sleep holding Caleb with his legs propped up to help Caleb relieve his gassy intestines (compliments of the oral rotavirus vaccine).

When we have a chance, we’ll upload a picture of Caleb’s legs. They gave him cute Charlie Brown bandaids–one on each rotund thigh.

Oh almost forgot… Caleb is now 17 pounds, 7 oz (95th percentile) and 26 1/4 inches long (90th percentile). And, I thought he was slowing down… I guess I was wrong… 🙂
